Director of Physical Therapy - Dublin, GA, - This position requires on avg. 10% travel.
To oversee the day-to-day operations of the Physical Therapy Department in the most efficient manner as possible. Ensuring the Physical Therapy department is meeting the needs of the patients.

Provides oversight for development, direction and coordination of all Physically Therapy staff

Responsible for updating PT policies and procedures.

Responsible for reviewing PT workflow and processes to ensure billing and documentation requirements are met on a daily basis, i.e. PT orders, procedure documentation, signed forms. etc.

Responsible for developing and maintaining departmental budgets, reporting on variances in budget system monthly and overall oversight of budget.

Provides oversight for development, direction and coordination of all Physically Therapy staff

Responsible for maintaining all PT regulatory guidelines and standards.

Manages all aspects of PT inventory management, including but not limited to: supply ordering, receiving, stocking, payment of supplier invoices, reviewing and facilitating all requests for new product, reporting product abnormalities, ensuring staff are appropriately trained and scheduled to meet all patient needs

Assists staff and physicians in problem solving in regards to type of brace and fitting that best suits the patient and their specific needs.

Responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with the patients, physicians, staff, and corporate staff.

Ensure PT staff are providing direct patient care activities as assigned.

Responsible to ensure that quality patient care is being provided by all therapists.

Ensures that all physicians' needs are being met regarding rehabilitative services.

Responsible to ensure that Rehab department is Medicare compliant and that billing is appropriate.

Plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy (PT) treatments for patients suffering from injuries or disease and to restore function, prevent disability and relieve pain.

Consults with physicians and/or other departments about the impact of PT factors on patient heath status.

Documents findings, treatments and other patient information for medical record as necessary. Bills patients according to proper procedures.

Educates patient/family on appropriate care and use of various therapies and/or exercises.

Performs a staff meeting at a frequency they desire but no less than quarterly.

Serves as an information and education resource for patients, families and other members of the therapy staff.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years' experience as Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant required. Two (2) years supervisory experience in health care setting preferred.
Education:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy or Physical Therapy Assistant.
Special Qualifications:
Must have current state license in PT or PT A Must maintain BLS certification. Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
