Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, organized, and visionary Preschool Director to lead and inspire our early childhood education program. This pivotal role combines hands-on leadership with strategic oversight, ensuring the smooth daily operations of the center while fostering a nurturing, high-quality learning environment aligned with Montessori principles. As Preschool Director, you will shape the educational experience of young learners, support and develop staff, and build strong relationships with families and the community. Your leadership will drive program excellence, ensure compliance with licensing standards, and promote a culture where children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the preschool program
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to early childhood education and safety standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate teaching staff
  • Foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture
  • Maintain strong relationships with families and the community
  • Manage enrollment, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Ensure curriculum aligns with Montessori philosophy and best practices in teaching, play-based learning, and child development theories
  • Handle administrative duties including record-keeping and reporting

Skills

  • Proven expertise in strategic planning and organizational management within an educational setting.
  • Strong background in budgeting, financial oversight, and resource management.
  • Experience in education administration with a focus on early childhood programs.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire staff and engage with families effectively.
  • Familiarity with university-level teaching or research experience related to early childhood education is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of current regulations governing preschool operations and child safety standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate vision clearly and foster positive relationships across diverse groups. Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
