Director of Preschool

Arcadia Episcopal Preschool is currently seeking a dedicated Preschool Director to manage our daily operations, staff, and educational programming while ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and state licensing regulations.

Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.

Established in 1992 as a ministry of the Church of the Transfiguration in Arcadia, we are a small church preschool located in a quiet residential area, currently serving 36 families

.Key Responsibilities:- Operations & Compliance: Oversee daily functions, maintain state licensing standards, manage staff insurance benefits, and uphold health and safety protocols.-

Staff Management: Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate teachers and assistants. Lead regular staff meetings and provide classroom assistance as needed.- Curriculum & Education: Develop and implement early childhood curricula that align with state standards and foster a positive learning environment.-

Parent & Community Relations: Maintain regular communication with parents, handle inquiries, and conduct tours for prospective families.-

Administrative Duties: Manage the budget, including tuition collection, payroll, and supply ordering. Work closely with the Senior Warden in compliance with the church vestry, attend monthly board meetings, and work a minimum of 40 hours per week.-

Spiritual Leadership: Teach weekly Chapel lessons.Required Qualifications & Skills:-

Education: Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development.-

Experience: Previous experience as a preschool teacher or administrator.- Licensing & Certifications: Must meet state-specific director certification requirements. Pediatric First Aid and CPR certifications are required.-

Skills: Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.Work

Pay: $50,115.68 - $56,000.00 per year
