Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Preschool to lead our Montessori childhood education program with passion and strategic vision. This role is vital in shaping a nurturing, innovative, and high-quality preschool environment that fosters the growth and development of young learners. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of two years of leadership experience in preschool or early childhood education administration, demonstrating a commitment to excellence, collaboration, and community engagement. As a key member of our leadership team, you will oversee curriculum development, staff management, and program operations while ensuring compliance with educational standards and fostering an inclusive, engaging atmosphere for children, families, and staff alike.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive, age-appropriate curriculum that promotes cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Manage daily preschool operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure a smooth and effective learning environment.
- Supervise teaching staff through mentoring, performance evaluations, and professional development initiatives to maintain high standards of classroom practice.
- Oversee budgeting processes, including planning expenses for supplies, materials, , and program enhancements.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to expand program reach through community outreach and fundraising efforts.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements, safety regulations, and educational policies to maintain accreditation standards.
- Foster strong relationships with families by providing clear communication, hosting informational sessions, and addressing concerns promptly.
- Lead public speaking engagements to promote the preschool’s mission within the community and at educational events.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on long-term planning for program growth and quality improvement initiatives.
