Overview
A leading Caribbean hospitality group is seeking an experienced Director of Procurement & Logistics to oversee purchasing, supply chain operations, and logistics across its resort and food and beverage portfolio. This is a confidential leadership opportunity for a results-driven professional with deep expertise in sourcing, vendor relations, and international logistics, particularly within the hospitality and F&B sectors.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, capable of managing complex import operations while ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and seamless coordination across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all procurement functions, including sourcing, purchasing, and contract negotiation.
- Oversee logistics operations, including shipping, customs, warehousing, and distribution of goods.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure alignment with quality, delivery, and pricing expectations.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that optimize cost control and operational efficiency.
- Forecast product demand and maintain accurate inventory planning for all F&B categories (dry, cold, frozen).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with culinary, operations, and finance teams to support property needs.
- Ensure compliance with local import regulations, documentation, and licensing requirements.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing procurement and logistics team.
- Identify process improvements to enhance transparency, traceability, and overall supply chain performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement and logistics leadership within the hospitality or food and beverage industry.
- Strong background in import and export logistics, particularly with perishable goods.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation, supplier management, and strategic sourcing.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex supply chains across multiple product categories.
- Excellent forecasting, budgeting, and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience developing and managing teams.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
