Director of Product Management

About the Role

Our goal is to become the leader in payments and embedded software for international property, making it faster, simpler and safer to buy property abroad.

Our new offering will cater to the different stakeholders involved in the process, from the buyers and sellers themselves to legal service firms and title companies to property management, banks and real estate agents. Underpinning this is the core platform, which is fundamental to the business' infrastructure.

As we expand into new geographies, the need to remain compliant and adhere to local regulatory standards, whilst maintaining global scalability, becomes increasingly more important. Their core platform will fuel this growth and coupled with our new B2B offering, the buying and selling of international property to be easier than ever.

What You'll Do

you will take on ownership of the Core platform, which spans; registration, onboarding, KYC/AML, payment types, integrations that exist with banking partners and 3rd party providers, treasury management, account functionalities, APIs and data.

Given the verticalisation in the residential property market which tends to be local, there is a need to enhance the core platform in a way that addresses the regional dependencies, whilst removing the need for creating bespoke solutions for each market. Therefore, you will partner closely in particular with Engineering and Compliance as well as other key stakeholders across the business. You will play a key role in navigating the complexity of expansion into new geographies.

This is a crucial role for Redpin as it underpins all the other product offerings and is fundamental to the continued growth of the business.

Responsibilities

• Working with multiple engineering and cross functional teams, you will lead the team that ensures that our core money movement capabilities and API integrations are scalable, efficient, low latency, feature rich and compliant as we look to tackle new markets
• You will own your space end-to-end, identifying market opportunities, defining the product vision and own the strategy for new features and innovations
• You will work with banks, financial partners and internal stakeholders to launch new geographies or currency flows
• Develop banking product features (payment in, payments out, etc) to make Redpin the number one provider to manage money across borders
• Build core features the enable us to capture high-value transactions (e.g. property payments and later Wealth Management etc.)

What You’ll Need

• Ability to identify and solve complex problems.
• Experience leading a Product Management team, including sourcing, hiring and retaining strong Product talent.
• Strong strategic and commercial acumen.
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive new features and new products to the platform.
• A critical and technical mindset is key given the nature of the role. An engineering background is advantageous.
• Ability to work at pace and in an agile environment.
• Ability to coordinate and partner closely with Engineering and Compliance teams to determine for example, prioritisations, how to reduce backlogs and dependencies as well as resource allocation.
• A strong understanding of FX is highly desirable.
• Experience with KYC/KYB/AML and fraud related products is additive.
• A data-driven mindset and the know-how to use it to both identify opportunities and measure your impact. You can get the entire company behind you by telling stories with data.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Engineering experience leading banking integrations, third party API’s within B2B and B2B2C segments
• In depth understanding of the international payment ecosystem
