Role Summary

BillingPlatform is seeking a Director of Professional Services Operations to drive operational excellence across our global Professional Services (PS) organization. This leader will be responsible for optimizing delivery processes, improving utilization and capacity planning, implementing tools and methodologies, and enabling consistent, high quality customer outcomes.

The Director will partner closely with PS leadership, Finance, Sales, and Product to ensure scalable operations as the business grows.

Responsibilities

Operational Excellence & Delivery Governance

  • Own the operational framework for project delivery, resource management including sub-contracting staffing/resourcing and portfolio oversight
    • Develop and refine standard delivery methodologies, playbooks, templates, KPIs, and reporting dashboards
    • Establish quality assurance processes across scoping, delivery, risk management, and customer satisfaction
    • Support monthly invoicing and sub-contractor agreement management
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and margin

Resource & Capacity Management

  • Lead workforce planning, forecasting, andutilizationmanagement across global delivery teams
    • Oversee resource assignment processes and collaborate with PMO on project staffing
    • Identify skill gaps and influence hiring plans, onboarding programs, and training strategies

Systems, Tools & Data

  • Own Professional Services tooling roadmap (PSA system, time tracking, forecasting, dashboards, project health metrics)
    • Automate reporting and ensure data integrity across systems
    • Partner with Finance on revenue recognition, backlog forecasting, and operational controls

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Sales on scoping standards, proposal quality, packaging, and pricing guidance
    • Partner with Product & Engineering to feed delivery insights into roadmap prioritization
    • Support customer escalations by providing operational oversight and risk remediation strategies

Strategic Initiatives

  • Drive initiatives that improve services margin, delivery predictability, and customer adoption
    • Lead operational readiness for new offerings, markets, and delivery models
    • Report business performance metrics to senior leadership

Qualifications

  • 10–15+ years in Professional Services Operations, PS leadership, SaaS delivery operations, or consulting
    • Demonstrated experience scaling a PS or consulting organization in a high-growth SaaS environment
    • Strong background with PSA tools (e.g., Mavenlink, Kantata, OpenAir, Certinia, Kimble)
    • Strong analytical skills with ability to build dashboards and interpret operational data
    • Proven ability to collaborate across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
    • Prior experience managing global teams or processes preferred

The base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 per year plus bonus, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. Salary information is provided in accordance with U.S. pay transparency laws.
