Job Summary:

The Director of Program Engineering is responsible for leading continuous improvement and process optimization of engineering practices that support healthcare communication programs, including SMS, IVR, Email, and Mobile Web campaigns. Reporting to the Vice President of Engagement Services, this role oversees Program Engineering operations, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and client-centric solutions. The Director collaborates across Account Management, Implementation, Project Management, Customer Support, and Platform Engineering to align program engineering initiatives with organizational goals.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong technical expertise in engineering principles, systems design, and quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of healthcare communication methods (SMS, IVR, Email, and Mobile Web).
  • Skilled in process refinement, documentation, and operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency with ticketing systems and agile methodologies.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to build effective cross-functional relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Skills/Abilities/Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering or implementation leadership roles with proven success in process improvement and project delivery.
  • Track record of managing engineering or implementation teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
  • Experience in healthcare communications (especially IVR) strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 10 lbs. weight.
