Role Summary:
As the QA Director at SOAR, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and scaling a team of quality assurance professionals. You will define and implement comprehensive QA strategies, ensuring our mission-critical applications are robust, reliable, and performant. Key responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of QA engineers to increase overall productivity and output. Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Strategy & Process: Develop and execute a scalable QA strategy, defining best practices and processes across the entire software development lifecycle.
- Progress Tracking: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track team progress, project health, and product quality. Report on these metrics to leadership on a regular basis.
- Decision-Making: Make quick, informed, and correct decisions under pressure, ensuring that quality gates are maintained without hindering release schedules.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the design, development, and execution of comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automation scripts for our web and mobile applications.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, engineering, and DevOps teams to ensure quality is a shared responsibility and is integrated into every stage of development.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify potential quality risks and create mitigation plans to ensure the stability of the application.
Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience ( 7+ years) in a QA management or leadership role, preferably within a fintech, proptech, or other mission-critical software environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
- Expertise in a variety of testing methodologies (functional, regression, performance, security, etc.) and a deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound, data-driven decisions quickly.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
