An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Quality Engineering leader to shape and elevate testing strategy across a suite of complex, highly integrated applications. What You’ll Lead

• Own the end‑to‑end quality engineering strategy, spanning functional testing, integration testing, data validation, and automation.
• Oversee system integration and regression testing across multiple platforms, ensuring strong coverage and reliability.
• Champion an automation‑first mindset using modern frameworks for UI, API, batch, and event‑driven architectures.
• Build and scale a robust test data strategy, including synthetic data approaches.
• Collaborate closely with Agile teams throughout the development lifecycle, contributing to story refinement, acceptance criteria, and sprint planning.
• Guide the creation of detailed test scenarios, test cases, and regression suites.
• Lead defect triage, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Govern quality gates, testing observability, and key quality metrics.
• Support production teams by validating urgent issues and advising on system behavior.
• Evaluate and recommend new testing tools and technologies.
• Ensure testing readiness for releases, including environments, data, and entry/exit criteria.
• Manage workload distribution, timelines, and team performance to meet delivery goals.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Quality Engineering teams, fostering growth, accountability, and technical excellence.
• Support career development through coaching, feedback, and structured development plans.
• Build a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and modern Quality Engineering practices across Agile and/or Waterfall environments.
• Proven experience managing both small and large testing initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to assess complex systems and communicate findings clearly.
• Excellent communication, time‑management, and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Demonstrated success leading teams and driving results in fast‑moving environments.
• Experience with cloud‑based architectures (preferably AWS), microservices, and event‑driven systems.
• Hands‑on familiarity with BDD/TDD concepts and tools such as Jira, Jenkins, Cucumber, and test management platforms.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Automation experience with tools such as Selenium, RestAssured, or similar.
• Programming or scripting experience (Java, Python, SQL, or similar).
• Background in test management for large‑scale programs.
• 10+ years across Quality Assurance, Project Management, or related IT disciplines.
• Experience in financial systems, risk platforms, or other highly regulated environments.

Compensation

• $190-220k base
• 30% annual bonus
• 25+ days PTO
• 6% 401k match
