Child Saving Institute (CSI) is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and strategic Director of Residential Treatment to provide leadership across our residential treatment programs on the Children’s Square Campus.

This role is well‑suited for a leader who brings both clinical expertise and operational vision, thrives in high‑acuity environments, and is deeply committed to trauma‑informed, child‑centered care.

What You’ll Do

As the Director of Residential Treatment, you will provide administrative, clinical, and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and individualized residential treatment services for children and youth. Responsibilities include:

• Leading PMIC services, BHIS programming, and residential treatment operations
• Supervising the PMIC Treatment Manager, BHIS staff, and PMIC therapists
• Ensuring compliance with COA standards, state licensing, Medicaid regulations, and CSI policies
• Guiding interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning
• Promoting trauma‑informed, culturally responsive, and family‑centered care
• Overseeing program quality, outcomes, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), and fiscal accountability
• Providing leadership during crisis response, safety planning, and incident review
• Collaborating with medical, psychiatric, educational, and outpatient partners to ensure continuity of care

Who We’re Looking For

Someone who:

• Demonstrates ethical, steady, and supportive leadership
• Has strong clinical and operational experience in residential or behavioral health services
• Can lead multidisciplinary teams with confidence and accountability
• Is comfortable navigating compliance, quality improvement, and high‑acuity environments

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related human services field
• Active LMHC licensure in Iowa, or a Nebraska LIMHP with willingness and eligibility to obtain Iowa LMHC licensure
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in residential, psychiatric, or behavioral health settings
• At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience
• Strong knowledge of trauma‑informed care, child development, and interdisciplinary treatment models

• Familiarity with COA accreditation, licensing reviews, or CQI initiatives
