Director of Sales - Fine Jewelry B2B

About US
DCJ is a B2B custom diamond jewelry manufacturer based in Los Angeles serving independent fine jewelry retailers nationwide. We handle everything from CAD and casting to final delivery, and we're growing. We're looking for a Director of Sales to lead our SDR and Account Management teams — someone who knows the jewelry industry, leads from the front, and genuinely cares about the people they manage.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership position overseeing a team of 3 SDRs and 5 Account Managers. On the SDR side, you'll be player-coach — active in the outreach process alongside your team. On the AM side, you'll serve as the senior resource they turn to: approving discounts and specialized pricing, stepping in on complex client situations, and helping them grow. You'll report directly to the company owner and have strong input on team decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of SDRs and Account Managers
  • Work alongside the SDR team in day-to-day prospecting and outreach — this is not a hands-off role
  • Serve as the escalation point and senior support layer for Account Managers on pricing approvals, client issues, and complex situations
  • Own team performance — set expectations, track KPIs, and hold the team accountable with empathy and consistency
  • Take ownership of existing sales processes, scripts, and playbooks — and continuously improve them
  • Collaborate with ownership on sales targets and contribute to defining and refining them
  • Foster individual growth within your team — you care about where each person is headed

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the jewelry industry — manufacturing, wholesale, or retail
  • Proven experience in both SDR-type and account management-type roles — you've done the work you'll be managing
  • Demonstrated success leading or managing a sales team
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles and client relationship management
  • Comfortable with performance management — setting standards and having hard conversations when needed
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

Who you are

You lead with empathy but hold high standards. You take ownership of your team's results the same way you take ownership of your own. You're invested in the people you manage and want to see them grow. You work well with ownership and aren't looking for a siloed role — you want to be part of building something.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
