Director of Sales (Hotel)

The historic YO Ranch Hotel & Conference Center is s*eeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Sales (Hotel)* to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth

About the hotel: 190 guest rooms with extensive meeting space, free guest parking with a full restaurant & bar

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for hotel properties.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, and other key stakeholders through outside sales efforts.
  • Identify new business opportunities through market analysis, networking, and industry events to expand the hotel's client base.
  • Oversee business development initiatives including B2B sales campaigns, marketing collaborations, and promotional activities.
  • Utilize CRM tools such as Salesforce to track sales activities, analyze data trends, and optimize sales processes.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure long-term partnerships while ensuring profitability.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns that enhance brand visibility and attract new clients.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Provide leadership in account management by ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Analyze sales performance metrics regularly to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in outside sales, business development, or management within the hospitality or related industries.
  • Strong background in B2B sales, marketing, technology sales, or technical sales with demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar tools for tracking sales activities and analyzing data.
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and customer service skills with the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans, analyze market data, and execute effective sales initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—with a focus on building long-term relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute education requirements.
