Director of Software Engineering

About Role

Software Development Director to lead the design, development, and evolution of our enterprise software platforms supporting manufacturing, supply chain, and digital transformation initiatives.

this role will work closely with a team of software engineers and architects, actively contributing to the development and evolution of scalable systems across ERP, production planning, automation, and IoT-enabled manufacturing environments.

The Software Development Director will support and guide the existing software architecture, contribute to technical decision-making, and help continuously improve system design, performance, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor software development teams responsible for enterprise platforms and manufacturing systems

• Define architecture and technical standards for ERP, MES, planning, and production management software

• Oversee development of .NET backend services, REST APIs, and React-based web applications

• Manage and optimize large-scale SQL Server environments and data platforms

• Design and guide data architectures for high-volume operational and analytical workloads (Big Data)

• Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of systems used across factories and global operations

• Lead development of IoT integrations with industrial equipment, sensors, and automation systems

• Collaborate with production, planning, and operations teams to digitize workflows and improve efficiency

• Identify system bottlenecks, propose improvements, and drive continuous optimization

• Define software roadmaps aligned with business goals and production strategies

• Ensure software delivery aligns with project timelines and organizational priorities

• Establish best practices in software architecture, code quality, DevOps, and system reliability

• Proactively identify technical challenges and propose effective solutions

• Drive engineering excellence across the organization

• Align software development with business and operational goals

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

• 10+ years experience in software development and enterprise system architecture

• Strong expertise in:

• Large-scale data architecture & data management
• Big Data concepts and analytics pipelines
• .NET / C# backend development
• REST API architecture

• Experience leading development teams and managing complex software projects

• Strong understanding of React or modern frontend frameworks

• Experience building high-performance enterprise systems

• Solid knowledge of software architecture patterns and scalable system design

Preferred Experience

• Experience in manufacturing, textile, or industrial production environments

• Familiarity with:

• ERP / MRP / MES systems
• Production planning platforms
• IoT integrations and factory automation
• data-driven decision systems
• AI-driven manufacturing systems & data analytics

• Experience working with high-volume operational databases

• Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments
