The Impact You Will Have

The Director of Strategic Accounts and Partnerships is central to strengthening Coupe Health’s relationships with key distribution partners—including health plans, third-party administrators, and national brokers and consultants. You’ll lead a team of Strategic Plan Managers, drive partner engagement, and unlock new growth opportunities across our distribution ecosystem. You’ll also play a critical role in enabling partner success through training, sales support, and customer service coordination.

Your Responsibilities

Strategic Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and deepen relationships with health plans, TPAs, and national consulting firms

  • Serve as executive sponsor for top-tier accounts and partners, ensuring alignment and long-term success

  • Act as a trusted advisor to partners, helping them navigate Coupe’s offerings and maximize value

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Strategic Plan Managers

  • Set clear goals, foster collaboration, and drive accountability across the team

  • Champion a culture of excellence, innovation, and customer-centricity

Growth & Expansion

  • Identify and pursue new distribution opportunities to expand Coupe’s reach

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Marketing to support go-to-market strategies

  • Analyze market trends and partner feedback to inform strategic decisions

Partner Enablement & Training

  • Develop and deliver training programs for distribution partners to ensure deep understanding of Coupe’s products and value proposition

  • Equip partners with sales tools, collateral, and messaging to drive adoption and engagement

  • Host webinars, workshops, and onboarding sessions to support partner education

Sales & Customer Service Support

  • Work closely with Sales to support partner-led opportunities and ensure alignment across teams

  • Coordinate with Customer Service to ensure seamless support for partner-related inquiries and escalations

  • Monitor service levels and satisfaction metrics to proactively address issues and improve partner experience

Operational Excellence

  • Develop scalable processes and Standard Operating Procedures for partner onboarding, engagement, and performance tracking

  • Monitor KPIs and report on partnership health and business impact

  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in strategic account and/or channel management experience in the health plan or employee benefits space, 3+ years of management experienc e

  • Deep understanding of the health plan ecosystem, including TPAs and national brokers/consultants

  • Proven success in partner enablement, including training, sales support, and customer service coordination

  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills to develop high-performing individuals

  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, product, and operations

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations

  • Negotiation and contracting experience

  • Accepting this position at BCBSMN requires signing an Employee Confidentiality, Intellectual Property Assignment and Restrictive Covenants Agreement as a condition of employment

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in the alternative health plan space

  • CRM (preferably SalesForce) administrative capabilities

  • Experience designing and delivering training programs for partner onboarding

  • Experience with creating external facing reports and dashboards

Role Designation

Teleworker

Role designation definition: Teleworking is working full time remote. Hybrid is a minimum of 2 days onsite. Onsite is full-time onsite.

Compensation and Benefits

$150,000.00 - $170,000.00 - $190,000.00 Annual + Commission

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
