About the Role:
We are seeking a highly analytical, operationally minded Director of Strategic Finance & M&A to help lead and scale the finance organization of a fast-growing, private equity-backed media business. This individual will play a critical role across the company’s core FP&A and strategic finance activities, partnering closely with executive leadership, operational teams, lenders, and financial sponsors to drive performance, planning, and decision-making. The role combines traditional FP&A leadership with broader strategic finance responsibilities, including cash flow management, lender reporting, board material preparation, operational modeling, long-range planning, and M&A support. The ideal candidate brings strong financial rigor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex operational and financial data into actionable insights for leadership and investors.
This is a highly visible opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and enjoys building scalable financial processes, improving reporting infrastructure, and helping shape the strategic direction of a dynamic business. The company is investing in improving financial systems, reporting infrastructure, and data accessibility, and this role will play a key leadership role in driving finance process automation and analytical scalability.
This role reports to the VP of Strategy and Finance with a dotted line to the CFO and partners regularly with the executive leadership team, Board of Directors, and private equity sponsors.
