Role Overview
The Director of Systems Sales is a senior individual contributor responsible for developing, managing, and closing complex, high-value AS/RS and automated warehouse system projects. This role requires a consultative, strategic sales approach and close collaboration with engineering, project management, and executive stakeholders. The successful candidate will act as a market developer and hunter, building long-term client relationships and expanding Stoecklin’s footprint across North America and Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle B2B sales of AS/RS and automated warehouse systems
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with large, multi-site organizations
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with decision-makers at target organizations
- Develop market strategies to expand Stoecklin’s presence across the US and Canada
- Leverage consultative selling techniques to define customer needs and propose tailored system solutions
- Collaborate closely with internal engineering and project teams to develop technical concepts and system proposals
- Lead commercial negotiations and contract discussions through deal closure
- Identify and develop new sales channels, including integrators, representatives, and partners
- Represent Stoecklin at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, providing market and competitor insights
- Support internal teams during early project phases to ensure successful handover and customer satisfaction
What We’re Looking For
- Proven success selling large-capital automation or material handling systems (typically $5M–$10M+ projects)
- Strong experience within AS/RS, automated warehouse systems, intralogistics, or related capital equipment markets
- Established network with enterprise-level customers and decision-makers; ability to open doors at senior levels
- Strategic, solution-oriented sales mindset with a strong hunter mentality
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with international sales and engineering teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and executive stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
