General Position Summary: As the Director of Territory (DOT) at Day Wireless Systems, you will oversee all operational activities within your assigned geographic area. Your primary responsibility will be to drive revenue generation and ensure profitability in alignment with company objectives. This role requires effective delegation, prioritization, and management of daily tasks to ensure timely completion and operational excellence.

Job Scope:

  • Handle diverse and complex work situations requiring extensive knowledge of sales and service in the wireless communications industry.
  • Operate independently within established procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Accountable for capital assets, long-term sales planning, and strategic initiatives.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Provide daily direction to staff, evaluate performance, and make decisions on hiring, training, and terminations.
  • Play a significant role in decisions related to subordinate staff regarding hiring, firing, advancement, and promotion.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage installation and repair activities for systems and equipment across designated locations.
  • Direct office business operations and address administrative issues to optimize productivity.
  • Assign, prioritize, and oversee daily work activities to meet operational goals.
  • Generate and review territory reports, including profit and loss statements (P&L).
  • Develop and monitor operational budgets to achieve desired financial outcomes.
  • Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and maintenance contracts.
  • Act as the primary liaison with major vendors and collaborate on customer projects for accuracy and satisfaction.
  • Support sales efforts by providing necessary information for customer estimates and service proposals.
  • Coordinate with corporate human resources on personnel matters, including recruitment and employee relations.
  • Ability to travel actively as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Secondary Functions:

  • Participate as a senior management team member for the assigned geographic region.

Communication/Internal Contacts:

  • Regularly engage with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with company goals and to keep teams informed of operational updates.
  • Communicate openly with external stakeholders, primarily customers, regarding confidential or sensitive information, demonstrating discretion and professionalism in all interactions.

Specific Job Skills:

  • Proficiency in the wireless communications industry with the ability to apply technical concepts.
  • Strong organizational skills to schedule and implement customer projects effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal abilities.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Solid supervisory skills and proficiency in using office software and computer applications.

Mental and Physical Requirements:

  • Requires strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, basic math, and independent judgment.
  • Ability to handle decision-making, customer service, and problem analysis effectively.
  • Occasional physical tasks such as lifting or handling items up to ten pounds may be required.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Some higher education or vocational training in electronics or business management.
  • Two to four years of experience in the radio and wireless communications industry, or equivalent education and experience.

Job Conditions:

  • Primarily works in an indoor office environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Involves local travel, occasional on-call duties, and extensive computer-based work.
