Director of Transportation

My client ideally wants a candidate out of the foodservice industry that has dealt with delivering to national accounts.

Directs and supports the General Manager in the overall operations and site management of the Distribution Center. Negotiates and administers collective bargaining agreements. Implements and ensures that procedures are followed to provide a safe, efficient, service-oriented, and profitable department.

• Operational Management: Overseeing the daily operations of single or multiple locations to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient service.
• Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing strategies for efficient scheduling, process optimization, and continuous improvement in service delivery.
• Staff Management: Hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, and performance of managers and supervisors.
• Experience: Significant management in operations, supply chain, or logistics, with food distribution/perishable goods preferred.
