Position Summary:
Lead the Chamber’s efforts in workforce development and emerging talent initiatives, serving as a key liaison among businesses, educators, and government partners. Supports community collaboration and advocates for workforce policies that promote regional talent retention and development. Develop programming and solutions to address short- and long-term workforce challenges across the Chippewa Valley.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for programs relating to local, state, and federal workforce and education issues,
including public policy, school district initiatives, and business-education collaboration.
Develop and implement strategies that promote a workforce ecosystem conducive to business growth and talent sustainability.
Remain in regular contact with government officials, educators, and workforce stakeholders at all levels.
Coordinate the data collection of Wage & Compensation Surveys
Provide support leadership in education and workforce arenas, including K-12, post-secondary, and employer-focused programs.
Assist in the development and management budgets for workforce development, and business development initiatives.
Research, analyze, and monitor local, state, and national workforce trends, labor shortages, policy issues, and funding opportunities.
Prepare workforce updates for the Board of Directors; track progress on Board-supported workforce positions and initiatives.
Develop responsive member task forces to address emerging workforce issues; engage and prepare volunteers for regional solution-building.
Plan and execute events including:
Actively encourage business leaders and members to participate in workforce initiatives and programs.
Regularly write blogs and articles to communicate timely issues, challenges, and solutions to members and the Board.
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
College degree or equivalent required.
Chamber of Commerce or association experience preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong computer and database proficiency; capable with Microsoft Office and relevant reporting systems.
Strong organizational, time management and volunteer coordination skills.
Ability to build productive relationships with members, staff, elected officials, and educators.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
