Position Summary

The Director of Workforce & Staff Development is a senior leadership team member responsible for overseeing all human resources functions, workforce management, payroll coordination, and staff education within the community. This position supports the Executive Director and collaborates closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure appropriate staffing levels, regulatory compliance, employee engagement, and ongoing professional development.

This role ensures that team members are recruited, onboarded, scheduled, trained, and supported in alignment with company standards and state regulations, promoting both operational excellence and quality resident care.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all Human Resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance
• Manage staff scheduling processes to ensure proper coverage and labor efficiency
• Coordinate and oversee payroll processing and timekeeping systems
• Develop and implement staff training, orientation, and ongoing education programs
• Maintain personnel records in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Support department managers in performance management and corrective action processes
• Promote a positive workplace culture focused on retention and engagement
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing on clinical staffing education and compliance requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• Licensed Nurse (RN or LPN) strongly preferred but not required
• Experience in Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, or Senior Living environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of labor regulations, payroll systems, and staff scheduling
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
