Director / Partner – Client Accounting Services (CAS)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director or Partner – Client Accounting Services (CAS) to lead and grow a client accounting practice. This role combines business development, client advisory, and team leadership responsibilities.

The position focuses on delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services to a portfolio of clients while driving practice growth through new business development and client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new Client Accounting Services (CAS) business opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry professionals
  • Lead client engagements and serve as a trusted financial advisor
  • Provide strategic guidance on budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance
  • Oversee delivery of:
  • Monthly close processes
  • Financial reporting and analysis
  • Cash flow management
  • Compliance with accounting standards
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of all client deliverables
  • Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, including managers and staff
  • Implement and improve accounting workflows, systems, and processes
  • Support cross-functional collaboration and firm-wide initiatives
  • Drive client retention and identify opportunities to expand services

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
  • Experience in public accounting or outsourced accounting services (CAS)
  • Proven ability to develop new business and manage client relationships
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and advisory services
  • Experience working with small to mid-sized business clients
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or similar tools
  • Experience leading teams and managing multiple client engagements
  • Background in process improvement and technology-enabled accounting solutions

Pay: $200,000.00 - $500,000.00 per year
