About the Role

Leading Innovations is hiring a Product Development & Global Sourcing leader to manage the full product lifecycle for housewares, kitchen, and home products sold through department stores, value retailers, and off-price channels.

This role oversees product development from initial concept through sourcing, costing, production, and delivery, working closely with overseas suppliers and internal cross-functional teams.

The position may be hired at the Senior Manager or Director level, depending on experience and leadership scope.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of housewares, kitchen, and home product assortments
• Manage overseas supplier relationships, including costing, MOQs, and timelines
• Oversee tooling, sampling, testing, and production execution
• Ensure packaging, labeling, and compliance requirements are met
• Collaborate with sales, logistics, quality, and packaging teams
• Maintain accurate costing and timelines in PLM and internal systems

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in product development and/or global sourcing
• Experience working with overseas manufacturers (Asia or other regions)
• Knowledge of materials such as plastics, silicone, stainless steel, and related processes
• Experience supporting department store, value, or off-price retail customers
• Strong Excel and organizational skills

Preferred

• Experience managing or mentoring junior team members
• Exposure to multiple sourcing regions
• Experience in consumer goods, importer, or wholesale environments

Compensation

$120,000 – $160,000 base salary, plus performance-based bonus and benefits.
Final title and compensation based on experience, scope, and demonstrated impact.
