About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Strategic Partnerships who will lead collaborations with universities to design, develop, and launch professional programs. This role emphasizes relationship-building and coordination with academic partners, ensuring that content development and program design align with institutional standards and market needs. The Director will guide and coordinate across internal teams and university stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

This is a remote role based in the Midwest U.S., as we are looking for candidates located in that region to ensure proximity to our university partners nationwide. The position will also involve occasional travel (2–4 times per quarter)

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture relationships with faculty, administrators, and academic leaders at top universities.
  • Coordinate with university partners on the development of curricula and program content.
  • Serve as the primary liaison across internal teams (Content, Product, Marketing, Sales), aligning university inputs with company deliverables.
  • Facilitate smooth execution of program launches by aligning academic requirements with business objectives.
  • Ensure timelines and deliverables are met by supporting cross-functional coordination, while keeping universities engaged and informed.
  • Represent the company with professionalism in all university-facing interactions.

Desired Profile

  • Experience in the e-learning/EdTech/higher education domain is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage senior university stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with global, cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record in roles where university collaboration on content development/program design was central.
  • Strong relationship management skills with academic partners and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (Education, Business, or related field).
  • 8+ years of experience, including leadership roles in higher education partnerships, program/content development, or strategic collaborations.

Compensation Range

OTE Range: $120,000 to $140,000 (a combination of base salary and incentive). The final offer will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, skills, and overall fit for the role.
