Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Director to lead and oversee our educational programs and youth engagement initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing a vibrant team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality childcare, early childhood education, and specialized programs tailored to children’s developmental needs. Your leadership will foster a positive environment that promotes growth, safety, and learning for children of diverse backgrounds. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our youth programs while maintaining a nurturing and dynamic atmosphere.

Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards and developmental best practices.
  • Oversee classroom management strategies to ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Coordinate with staff to facilitate training on child behavior management, special education needs, and first aid procedures.
  • Supervise daily operations of childcare facilities, including daycare, camp activities, tutoring sessions, and theater programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including first aid protocols and child protection policies.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, staff, and community partners through effective communication and Christian counseling when appropriate.
  • Lead staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development initiatives.
  • Manage program budgets and resources efficiently to maximize program quality and accessibility.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating program outcomes and implementing innovative educational strategies.

Experience

  • Proven experience in classroom management within early childhood education or childcare settings.
  • Strong background in special education techniques and working with children with diverse needs.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams of educators or youth program staff.
  • Knowledge of behavior management strategies and childhood development principles.
  • Experience organizing camp activities, sports coaching, babysitting services or theatrical programs for children or students.
  • Certification in first aid and child safety procedures is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Christian counseling practices can be an asset but is not mandatory.
