Position Summary
The Director, Supply Chain Operations oversees an internal team responsible for the supply side of Protochips business, including materials and resource planning, procurement, inventory control, and factory management. Ongoing and consistent collaboration between Operations and other departments is paramount to the overall success and fiscal health of Protochips. This position’s insights will have the opportunity to directly shape strategic decision-making and long-term operational planning at Protochips.
Primary Responsibilities

Management and optimization of the factory(ies), including production, warehousing / inventory control, and shipping/receiving

Manage all factory scheduling and material planning

Develop, implement, and execute supplier strategies including conducting RFx’s

Supplier relationship management

Champion quality, lean, and continuous improvement initiatives across Protochips’ supply chain

Implement, maintain, monitor and improve upon key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure Protochips’ supply chain is both effective and efficient

Foster cross-functional collaboration between Manufacturing Engineering, Sales Ops, Finance and other departments to ensure alignment to corporate goals

Take on strategic or operational initiatives as assigned by the COO, contributing to broader company goals
Requirements
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
Leadership skills with a focus on team development and motivation
Skilled at simplifying complex situations into easily understandable components
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize and delegate tasks effectively to consistently deliver high quality on-time products
Strong financial acumen
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across teams; frankness and conciseness are compulsory
Language Skills
English fluency required
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or similar; Master’s preferred
Proven track record of meeting deadlines in a production volume environment
Minimum of 10 years in progressing leadership roles including direct supervision of a factory team

In office hours must align with factory hours
