Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM (20 hours/week)

The Acupuncture and Massage School of Oriental Medicine (AMOM) is an accredited institution dedicated to integrating Eastern and Western healing arts. We provide high-quality training in Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, Oriental Medicine, and Integrative Health while supporting community wellness and cultural education.

Position Summary – Director Assistant

We are seeking a creative, organized, and tech-savvy Director Assistant to support school operations, digital design, social media management, and teaching material preparation. Strong Canva and photo design skills are required.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys creating visual content, managing digital platforms, and supporting an academic environment.

Key Responsibilities1. Graphic Design & Digital Media

  • Create brochures, flyers, posters, banners, and all printable materials
  • Design digital content using Canva (required skill)
  • Assist with photography and basic video creation
  • Update school website images and visual materials

2. Social Media & Marketing

  • Manage daily social media content (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
  • Create marketing posts, stories, short videos, and promotional content
  • Support branding and marketing strategies
  • Help promote new programs and student activities

3. School Administration & Teaching Material Support

  • Prepare admissions documents and printable forms
  • Upload and organize teaching materials in the school system (Moodle/Google)
  • Assist with student files, office documents, and curriculum organization
  • Support the Director with communication and administrative tasks

4. System & Website Support

  • Help update website content
  • Maintain organized digital folders and academic materials
  • Upload updated school policies, handbooks, and teaching modules

Required Skills

  • Excellent in Canva and photo design
  • Strong computer skills and fast typing
  • Good photography + basic video editing skills
  • Strong communication and organization abilities
  • Ability to work quickly and independently
  • Daily social media management experience

Preferred Majors

  • Marketing (best for social media + design + school promotion)
  • Education (best for academic material management)
  • Graphic Design / Digital Media (best for photo/design skills)
  • Communications or related majors also welcome

(Applicants with strong design skills can apply regardless of major.)

Work Schedule

Monday – Thursday, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
20 hours per week
On-site in Southfield, Michigan

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Internship

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
