Job Summary

Duties
- Develop comprehensive curricula aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
- Lead classroom activities, ensuring engaging lesson plans that support childhood development milestones
- Manage classroom environments to promote safety, behavior management, and inclusive participation for children of diverse needs, including special education and early intervention programs
- Supervise and mentor teaching staff to uphold high standards of childcare, classroom management, and instructional quality
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, address concerns, and support child welfare initiatives
- Implement standardized testing procedures when appropriate to assess developmental progress and tailor instruction accordingly
- Coordinate early intervention services to support children with special needs or developmental delays
Skills
- Extensive experience in early childhood education, including preschool or daycare settings with toddler care expertise
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
- Knowledge of special education practices, behavior management strategies, and childhood development principles
- Proficiency in working with children across various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners
- Familiarity with Montessori methods and literacy education approaches
- Ability to implement early intervention strategies and support child welfare initiatives
- Experience with standardized testing procedures and tutoring for foundational skills such as math or physical education
- Demonstrated leadership in managing classroom teams while fostering a positive learning environment
- Commitment to promoting inclusive practices within private school or daycare settings
