About the role

As a Discipline Lead, you are responsible for the design within your own and adjacent disciplines – on time, on budget and to the quality our customers expect. You structure, plan and lead the design, ensure the right interfaces to other disciplines, and act as the technical anchor that connects design drivers and customer requirements to the solution we deliver

How you might spend your days
As a lead, you’ll be:
  • Maintaining the line of sight from requirement to design decision, so that compliance can be demonstrated to internal stakeholders and customers throughout the project
  • Ensuring disciplinary consistency and compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations
  • Contributing to design reviews with the customer to secure their satisfaction with the design
  • Responsible for progress of the design schedule within your discipline and its coordination with adjacent disciplines
Who you are
We care about who you are as a person. In the end, how you work, and your energy is what impacts the results we achieve as a team. As a person, you are:
  • Having a BSc or MSc degree in chemical, process or mechanical engineering
  • Experienced within process design and start-up (e.g. commission & qualification)
  • Able to interpret and translate regulatory (e.g. GMP) requirements into clear, engineering requirements deliverables
  • Able to structure and plan deliverables according to the overall project milestone plan
What you bring to the role
In all positions, there are some things that are preferred, and others, a bonus. If you do not meet all the qualifications listed below, you are welcome to offer alternative experience that you think would be valuable in this role:
  • You can structure, plan and lead design work, balancing quality, time and cost
  • You have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the chemical, food or biotech industry
  • You can ensure solutions are consistent, robust and traceable back to their requirements
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English
