Disclosure Specialist

Schedule: Monday – Friday, varies (8 AM EST – 6 PM PST)

OVERVIEW

The disclosure specialist will review and process disclosures to verify loan fees, terms, mortgage insurance, and premiums prior to disclosing a loan to our borrowers. Ensure that each disclosure package includes the disclosures required per loan program. This specialist will also verify compliance and be under strict deadlines and ensure disclosures are sent within deadlines. At times, the disclosure specialist will need to communicate effectively and efficiently with loan processors and loan officers and re-disclose when loan circumstances are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Verifying all fields are complete and accurate to prevent losses to the company.

· Meet disclosure deadlines to make certain compliance is met.

· Verify data integrity, match programs/fees/disclosures per loan program and guidelines.

· Audit and prepare initial compliance disclosures and subsequent re-disclosures to consumers for all mortgage loans and for all mortgage loan types. (Conventional, FHA, VA and USDA)

· Comply with company policies and federal, state and other governmental rules and regulations for multiple states.

· Maintain current knowledge and understanding of all new and updated RESPA guidelines.

· Communicate with production and operations teams, including Loan Officers, Processors and other departments as necessary to confirm that disclosures are appropriate and give feedback when modifications are required.

QUALIFICATIONS

· High School Diploma required.

· 1-2 years previous mortgage experience required.

· Working knowledge of mortgage processes, workflow, and ability to provide process improvement recommendations preferred.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Internet applications.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment, strong detail orientation and highly organized.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Keen attention to detail.

· Possesses strong intellectual curiosity with a willingness to learn new technologies and develop new ideas.

· Ability to be flexible to assist with additional projects that are introduced based on the needs of the department.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
