Overview
A dishwasher is someone who is dedicated, organized and enjoys working as a part of a team in a fast-paced culinary and operation environment. They are a committed and able to communicate individual with strong work ethic and excellent time management skills. A dishwasher understands the importance of State/Local Health and Safety regulations and how the dishes must be thoroughly cleaned to prevent inefficiencies and the affect dirty dishes can have on the customers experience and overall cleanliness of the facility. You will have an opportunity to gain valuable kitchen experience while working in a fast-paced, friendly atmosphere.

Uniform:
Black pants, Crystal t-shirt (provided) or plain black t-shirt, non-slip shoes.

General Expectations

  • Report to all shifts on time, ready to work, and in proper uniform.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas at all times.
  • Follow Department of Health and Crystal Signature Events sanitation standards.
  • Communicate with supervisors when chemicals, supplies, or equipment need attention.
  • Support kitchen and front-of-house teams when additional help is needed.
  • Report accidents, equipment issues, or safety concerns immediately.

Opening Duties

  • Turn on and prepare dish machine and 3-bay sink with proper chemicals.
  • Set up station with racks, tubs for silverware, glass racks, linen bag, and trash cans.
  • Check and refill: Soap and paper towel dispensers
  • Ensure racks, carts, and dish areas are clean and organized.

During Service

  • Ensure all dishes, glassware, and utensils are fully cleaned before storing.
  • Separate and organize: Glass racks, Silverware, Plates and kitchen equipment
  • Prioritize washing high-demand items during service.
  • Remove trash and take to dumpster
  • Communicate with FOH staff to ensure all dishware is returned from event spaces.
  • Assist kitchen with basic prep tasks (chopping, peeling, plate support) when needed.

Minor Maintenance Responsibilities

  • Wipe down and keep dish machine exterior and surrounding equipment clean.
  • Clean and maintain drains, grease trap area, and floor mats.
  • Keep rack carts, bus tubs, and dish storage areas organized and in good condition.
  • Report broken dishware, racks, or equipment for replacement.

Closing Duties

  • Ensure all dishes are washed, dried, and stored properly.
  • Clean and sanitize: Dish machine and food catch pans, Tables, counters, carts, and racks, Walls and floors in dish area
  • Empty and clean floor drains.
  • Remove linen bags and take trash to dumpster.
  • Sweep and mop dish room and corridor floors.
  • Store all equipment in designated locations.

Restore / Deep Cleaning (Scheduled)

  • Scrub dish room and corridor floors and walls.
  • Clean trash cans, brooms, dustpans, and spray nozzles.
  • Rewash and organize silverware and dishware storage.
  • Clean grease trap bi-weekly.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
