Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our food preparation efforts in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors regularly.
• Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including bussing tables and organizing kitchen supplies.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to maintain health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Dispose of waste properly and assist with recycling efforts within the kitchen.
• Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a culinary or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and catering services.
