• Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or by hand when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by regularly cleaning sinks, dish racks, and surrounding surfaces.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as bussing tables, organizing supplies, and handling food items in accordance with safety standards.
• Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for use.
• Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely clearing of plates and replenishment of clean items during busy service hours.
• Adhere to safety protocols and proper cleaning procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.

Requirements

• Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key!
• Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and food handling safety standards.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure all dishes are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting the kitchen staff.
• Familiarity with bussing, food preparation, catering, or banquet experience is a plus.
