Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools to uphold hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, sinks, and storage areas to ensure a safe working environment.
- Mop bathrooms and dining rooms, stock soaps and paper supplies as needed.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and handling ingredients with care.
- Support catering and banquet setups by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for use.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to manage waste disposal and recycling processes effectively.
- Perform routine cleaning duties during shifts to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness in all food service areas.
Skills
- Strong understanding of cleaning protocols within a food service or hospitality environment.
- Experience with bussing tables and supporting food service operations in restaurants or hotels.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and food handling safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings during busy service hours or events such as banquets.
- Familiarity with catering setups and maintaining cleanliness during large-scale functions.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting culinary staff and servers.
