Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients under supervision.
• Support the culinary team during busy service periods by bussing tables and clearing dishes efficiently.
• Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations to promote a hygienic environment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing work surfaces regularly.
• Help with setup and breakdown of catering events or banquet functions as needed.
• Follow proper food storage protocols to prevent contamination and waste.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, catering, or hotel environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
• Knowledge of basic food handling safety standards and sanitation practices.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items safely.
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude in fast-paced settings.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment, cleaning procedures, and food preparation techniques is a plus.
• Experience in banquet service or culinary roles can enhance your fit for this position.
