Dispatch - Day Operations

Team member coordinates the movement of goods and people, ensuring timely delivery while maximizing efficiency. A Transportation Dispatcher typically monitors drivers’ schedules, routes, and deliveries, providing real-time updates to clients, drivers, and management, and managing logistics operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and follow up skills.

• Schedule deliveries and pickups for vehicles, drivers, and customers.
• Monitor the progress of drivers and their assigned routes to ensure timely deliveries.
• Track shipments and provide updates into EDI system for customers as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, drivers, and vehicles.
• Handle any issues or conflicts that arise during delivery or pick-up.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and other departments within the company.
• Check CFS availability
• Coordinate with other transportation companies to ensure smooth and efficient delivery services.
• Make suggestions for improvements to transportation procedures and policies based on customer feedback and industry trends.

Day Shift Position

• Full Time Day = Sunday through Thursday
• Hours: 6:00 am – 4:00 pm

Day 2nd Position

• Full Time Day = Tuesday through Saturday
• Hours: 6:00 am – 4:00 pm

• 1+ years Dispatch or Logistics experience preferred
• Knowledge of LA, Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside county expedited service.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of the Internet, e-mail, and Microsoft Office
• Ability to quickly learn multiple web-based systems and software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A good understanding of geography is necessary
• Use good judgment in completing work tasks
• Strong leadership skills
• Regular, reliable attendance
