Position Summary:

The Dispatcher Supervisor is responsible for all activities related to Local pick up and deliveries. This position will be responsible for the overall performance of our Trucking division including final mile delivery and Linehaul operation, customer service, inventory control, process improvements, safety, maintenance, and security. The Dispatch Supervisor will provide support to Terminal management in establishing warehouse performance objectives and is accountable for achieving these objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Making sure all Dispatch e-mails are answered in a timely manner, within 30 minutes of receiving.
  • Provide quotes to our customers for all our service areas using the Quote function in Worldtrak.
  • Create new shipping orders using Worldtrack, ensuring all required data is updated and completed, including bill to reference fields, Shipper references, pieces, weight, dims (Airline accounts excluded).
  • Assure all related Documents required are uploaded (Scanned) in Worldtrak, no exceptions.
  • Provide Tag # and confirmation of booking to the Customer in a timely matter.
  • Assure all Tags are accurately rated and all accessorial are updated in the cost/billing tab.
  • Build and create a Local Manifest and assign it to the driver using the WT App that drivers have on the phones. Assure they update POD once they complete the Delivery using the APP. Make sure the hard copy is either uploaded by the Driver using the APP or providing it when they return to the Station.
  • Watch Dispatch Workflow, update incoming EDI in a timely matter.
  • Advise Customer if we can’t make service commitments set forth by Customer in a timely matter (within 30 minutes of receiving)
  • Advise Customer if free time has expired and wait time will be charged in a timely matter.
  • Resolve operational issues and escalate them if necessary
  • Assure Equipment is maintained by Drivers is clean and Damage free, take the time to inspect our equipment at least once a week
  • Confirm with the Driver that they have all the tools they need to execute the service requirement.
  • Hold driver accountable if they miss their delivery or pick up window without contacting dispatch to advise the reason of service failure that this information can be related to the Customer in a timely matter.
  • Familiarize yourself with our Equipment and understand the difference between them.
  • Maintain daily Trailer Inventory.
  • Utilize Samsara to monitor locations and time commitments of Drivers.
  • Assist with Claims, with identifying root cause.
  • Manages staff Labor hours in Paylocity and minimizes Overtime
  • Assures staff is taking daily Lunch breaks at the midpoint of their shift.
  • Increases effectiveness by training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; develop Motivate, Empower and Engage a Team culture.
  • Assist in establishing customer service standards and communicate these standards to all employees, establish SOP per accounts and share with the Team.
  • Other tasks assigned by Management.

Pay: $62,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
