Dispatch Team Member

Local trucking company looking for a full-time Dispatch Team Member to work in fast-paced environment dispatching trucks primarily within the southeast region, as well as to and from Georgia Port Authority. This position requires the candidate to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, must be organized and be able to multi-task, and have a basic knowledge of Office products. Knowledge of GPA system is a plus. Candidate must also be able to work in an environment with high call and email volumes and must be detailed oriented. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8AM to 4PM. Prior experience in the trucking/transportation industry is preferred but not required.

Supplemental Pay: Semi-Annual Bonus pay

The responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to:

• Dispatching local trucks to and from the Savannah Port
• Dispatching over-the-road drivers to different delivery locations in the Southeast
• Utilizing the GPA System to obtain pins and other container details
• Scheduling container deliveries in the Savannah area through email or phone communication with brokers and/or local warehouses
• Coordinating with mechanics on trailer issues on the yard
• Inputting work orders into Citrix Workspace
• Updating customer spreadsheets

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
