Dispatcher

Pay: $60,000-$70,000 / year based on experience

Dispatcher Responsibilities:

Supports company operations by maintaining office systems, reporting directly to General Manager. Services customers by arranging transportation in the most efficient manner and maintains the highest service level reasonable. The hiring of drivers, managing and hiring owner operators, following and tracking sites FMCSA scores, conducts driver safety meeting and directs the truck/trailer shop. In some cases, the manager will also oversee the maintenance and repair of customer equipment.

Dispatcher Duties:

• Dispatching

o Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

o Assigns out bound finish shipments

o Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.

o Maintains Load Efficiency

 Loads are greater than 85% of maximum weight

 Loads do not exceed maximum legal weights

 Route drivers in a manner that reduces non-productive (not on the road) time

o Maintains Labor Efficiency

 Minimizes overtime

 Drivers efficiency

o Service

 Customers are not to wait for service longer than agreed upon time.

 Communication between customers and dispatch is such a way that the customer always knows what they can expect and is notified when there are any changes in plans.

 Communicates closely with the plant manager

o Personnel

 Ensure that procedures in place are properly followed.

 Examine process to determine the potential need for additions or changes of procedures.

 Perform ride-a-longs with drivers to understand the needs/struggles of the drivers.

• Office Responsibilities – back up of the office

o Providing customer service by answering customer calls and responding appropriately

o Preparing Payroll

o Data Entry

 Input all raw material loads on a daily basis

 Confirm all finished feed loads on a daily basis

 Confirm all supplement loads as they arrive

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
