$5,000 Sign on Bonus

Relocation assistance up to $7,000 including two months’ rent is available for new hires only. Eligibility requires a current residence located at least 45 miles from Oroville.

The workweek is Monday – Friday, some Saturday/Sundays of full-time, year-round work, and Emergency Work.

Qualifications:

Education, Experience, and License

High School Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent. Minimum 2+ years of increasing responsibility in dispatching complex logistics of moving specialized oversized freight.

Valid and clean driver's license; a CDL license is preferred.

Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and random drug test after hire.

Pass a criminal background check.

Requirements:

· Route safety management and, if necessary, traffic control scheduling.

· Active participation in safety meetings.

Customer Service

· Completing deliveries ahead of the client's deadline.

· The dispatch department and drivers excel in following all client rules and expectations.

· Prioritizing and providing prompt responses to client inquiries and requests.

Employee Relations

· Treating all drivers and traffic control employees with fairness and professionalism.

· Prompt response to the driver and traffic control employees' inquiries and requests.

Task Skills

· Proficiency in prompt handling of daily changes to scheduling and routing.

· Taking quality control measures to ensure the accuracy of information across multiple documents

· Comprehensive knowledge of DOT and HOS rules and requirements, including all safety rules and regulations.

· Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to interact effectively with others, listen, be clear, empathize, demonstrate emotional intelligence, and resolve conflicts.

· Aptitude to inspect outgoing shipments to make sure they match the paperwork.

· Physical and mental capability and availability to work extended hours, after hours, and on weekends if necessary.

Duties Responsibilities:

· Dispatch drivers and traffic control from and to various locations as needed.

· Double-check the load assignment for hazards and routing safety.

· Examine outgoing shipments and confirm the load matches the paperwork.

· Use Google Maps to check for traffic control needs at each job site.

· Maintain the daily dispatch sheet and move to the delivery sheet.

· Building driver packets, emailing, uploading, and sharing with the appropriate parties

· Keep track of the drivers' logs ELD and HOS daily.

· Monitor drivers and traffic control via video and GPS. Report and assist the safety department with near-miss incidents, accidents, and injuries. Ensuring the job site delivery locations match the requested locations.

· Equipment maintenance and ordering new devices.

· Instruct drivers and traffic control on service and repairs while on the road.

· Lead morning tailboard meetings.

· Examine outgoing shipments and confirm the load matches the paperwork duplicate.

· Answering emergency and non-emergency calls, documenting essential information, and following department policy

· Utilize software for the entry and dispatch of load information.

· Track and monitor drivers and traffic control.

· Routinely review the effectiveness of route sequence and dispatch goals, modify as needed via weekly route reviews.

· Monitor drivers and traffic control via software. Reporting and assisting the safety department with near-miss incidents, accidents, and injuries.

· Assist in ordering new setup materials for trucks, traffic control, and trailers.

· Instruct and assist drivers and traffic control on service and repairs while on the road.

· Communicate to Mechanics where trucks are being serviced on the road.

· Maintain a positive team environment.

· Maintain strong professional working relationships with management, employees, and customers.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, taste and/or smell; the employee must occasionally lift products weighing up to a 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to use computer monitors and keyboards for the majority of the shift. Having sufficient hearing ability to function effectively at work.

Wearing Protective equipment must be worn as required by company policy.

Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
