Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate transportation activities efficiently across our logistics network. Duties

• Schedule and dispatch freight movements using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine, ensuring adherence to delivery timelines.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette and clear messaging.
• Utilize GPS and GIS tools to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and troubleshoot logistical issues in real-time.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, including freight documentation, data entry, and tracking shipments within AS400 and other logistics platforms.
• Manage fleet operations by scheduling maintenance, tracking vehicle status, and supporting fleet management initiatives.
• Analyze transportation data to identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and support transportation planning efforts within the supply chain.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, shipment statuses, driver logs, and incident reports to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Experience

• Proven experience in dispatching within a logistics or transportation environment.
• Strong familiarity with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms like SyteLine.
• Knowledge of GPS technology, GIS mapping tools, and route optimization techniques.
• Experience working with freight carriers, 3PL providers (third-party logistics), shipping & receiving procedures, and fleet management practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally while demonstrating strong phone etiquette.
• Demonstrated analysis skills for evaluating transportation data and making informed decisions to improve efficiency.
• Proficiency in data entry tasks using systems like AS400 or equivalent enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in all dispatching activities. Pay: $23.55 - $28.36 per hour
