Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Dispatcher to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will coordinate the movement of freight and shipments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery across multiple locations. Your expertise in transportation management systems, GPS technology, and supply chain logistics will drive operational success. As a Dispatcher, you will serve as the communication hub between drivers, carriers, and clients, maintaining seamless coordination and exceptional service. Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch drivers, vehicles, and equipment to meet delivery and pickup requirements
• Monitor driver routes and delivery progress to ensure on-time performance
• Communicate with drivers to provide route instructions, updates, and support during deliveries
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure orders are prepared and ready for shipment
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, delivery times, and driver logs
• Respond quickly to transportation issues such as delays, breakdowns, or route changes
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations
• Communicate with customers regarding delivery status and scheduling updates
• Track shipments and update transportation management systems or dispatch software
• Assist in optimizing routes to improve efficiency and reduce transportation costs

Requirements

• Proven experience with transportation management systems
• Strong knowledge of GPS technology, GIS mapping tools, and transportation planning principles.
• Familiarity with logistics operations including shipping & receiving, fleet management, and freight coordination
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle calls professionally and courteously.
• Demonstrated analysis skills for route optimization and data entry accuracy.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic typing skills combined with proficiency in data entry software; familiarity with transportation management software is preferred.

Experience

• 2+ years of dispatching, transportation, or logistics coordination experience required.
• High School diploma or equivalent required, logistics or transportation experience preferred
• Route planning and logistics coordination

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
