Overview
We are looking for a new member for our team in Houston to manage the planning, routing, and daily scheduling of our trucks and drivers. The ideal candidate would have experience in the waste hauling industry, some DOT & heavy equipment knowledge, but most importantly - the right attitude and willingness to learn.

This is a "building block" position at a new location that has large upside potential as the person doing this job will likely grow into the branch & operations manager for the Houston area.

Duties

  • Maintain effective communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
  • Manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely and accurate service of our customers.
  • Utilize GIS and GPS technologies to enhance routing efficiency and monitor fleet performance.
  • Oversee transportation planning and logistics to meet customer demands while minimizing costs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all dispatch activities.
  • Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to streamline operations.
  • Perform data entry tasks accurately within scheduling software.
  • Daily scanning of paperwork/prompt response to customers.

Requirements

  • Experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation management would be preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on phone etiquette and customer service.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Need to know how to use a computer in general - excel/email/etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
