Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate transportation operations efficiently and effectively. Duties

• Coordinate and dispatch freight shipments using transportation management systems.
• Utilize GPS tools to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve overall fleet management efficiency.
• Communicate clearly with drivers, carriers, vendors, and clients via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
• Enter data accurately into systems such as AS400 and transportation management platforms to record shipment details, delivery statuses, and inventory movements.
• Monitor shipping & receiving activities, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to schedules.
• Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements within the supply chain and logistics operations.
• Manage freight-related inquiries using strong communication skills, providing updates and resolving issues promptly.
• Support shipping & receiving processes by coordinating with warehouse teams using systems like SyteLine and Oracle TMS for seamless operations.
• Assist in fleet management tasks by tracking vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinating dispatches accordingly.
• Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, incident reports, and shipment logs for compliance and reporting purposes.

Experience

• Proven experience in dispatching within a logistics or transportation environment is preferred.
• Must speak fluent English and Spanish.
• Knowledge of freight operations, shipping & receiving procedures, and fleet management practices.
• Excellent communication skills with proficiency in phone etiquette and professional correspondence.
• Ability to perform data entry accurately using systems like AS400 or equivalent enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
• Experience working with 3PL providers or in a logistics coordination role is a plus.
