As a Dispatcher, you will coordinate shipments, manage logistics data, and utilize advanced transportation management systems to optimize supply chain performance. Your expertise will drive operational excellence, support fleet management, and enhance overall transportation planning.

Duties

• Coordinate and schedule freight pickups and deliveries using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, warehouse teams, and clients via multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear instructions and timely updates.
• Monitor GPS and GIS data to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve delivery efficiency.
• Manage shipping & receiving documentation, data entry, and freight tracking to maintain accurate records.
• Utilize analysis skills to troubleshoot dispatch issues, resolve delays, and implement process improvements within logistics workflows.
• Oversee fleet management activities including vehicle scheduling, maintenance coordination, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain proficiency in phone etiquette and professional communication to foster positive relationships with all stakeholders.

Experience

• Proven experience in dispatching within transportation management or logistics environments.
• Familiarity with transportation planning tools such as Oracle Transportation Management, AS400, and SyteLine.
• Knowledge of supply chain processes, freight operations, shipping & receiving procedures, and 3PL (third-party logistics) providers.
• Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret GPS/GIS data for route optimization.
• Excellent communication skills coupled with effective phone etiquette for multi-line phone systems.
• Proficiency in data entry tasks using systems like Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Fleet management software, and AS400 platforms.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail in shipping & receiving documentation.
