Santmyer Logistics is in search of a Dispatcher for its corporate office located in Wooster, Ohio. This position is full-time, night shift and reports into the Wooster Ohio office location. The schedule for this role is Wednesday thru Saturday, day shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Receive customer calls and book customer orders in the dispatch software, Monitor inventory managed locations.

. Assist logistics team in meeting efficiency goals and on time deliveries.

· Schedule loads while utilizing and maximizing available truck location, driver hours, delivery windows, and loaded miles.

· Anticipate change and/or problems and reallocate resources when necessary.

· Update changes to orders; Monitor dispatch software for driver status changes.

· Adjust forecasted loads based on sales and market trends.

· Provide customers with realistic information about product availability and delivery time.

· Review, plan, and revise load assignments when necessary; Manage deadhead miles.

· Dispatch drivers and transmit load information to drivers.

· Ensure drivers execute on time departures and deliveries.

· Document and relay to Dispatch Manager any service failures, driver issues, problems, injuries, or incidents like cross drops, spills, etc. that occur during the shift.

· Ensure drivers submit all necessary documents.

· Ensure all orders in the software system are accurately completed.

· Assist the Accounting Department regarding past due driver paperwork.

· Communicate and plan approved stops where applicable.

. Assist with over night administrative duties to be defined by the Logistics supervisor.

Requirements:

· 2 to 3 years of Fuel Experience preferred but not required

· Proficient use of Microsoft Office 365 products, excel skills a plus.

· Fuel Dispatching software and pricing software experience a plus

· Pay commensurate with experience
