DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist drivers with shippers/receivers, route issues, etc.
• Assist drivers with equipment issues (troubleshoot over the phone or at the terminal)
• Communicate in a timely and effective manner with customers and drivers regarding delivery commitments via mobile com, email, phone, faxes
• Communicate with office personnel on topics like human resource issues, payroll, benefits, equipment defects, DOT issues etc.
• Communicate with supervisor about the status of drivers, problems, delays, etc.
• Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner which reflects Stewart Transport’s values and facilitates the success of the business
• Act as a liaison between the driver and all internal departments.
• Any other reasonable related job duties as assigned.
• Know, support and enforce company policies at all times.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Previous transportation dispatch related experience preferred
• TMW Suite Experience required 1 year
• Experience with PC to include internet-based programs, MS office.
• Understanding of DOT regulations: HOS, Weight, Hazmat regulations etc. preferred
• Able to work as part of a team as well as independently
• Flexible and able to handle changing priorities
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills- Great attention to detail
• Works well with short notice changes and high stress situations
• Must be independent, decisive and able to follow through with all tasks until completion

REQUIREMENTS:

• REQUIRED - COMPUTER & APPLICATION SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE: Candidate must have experience and proficiency with the following computer operating systems and application programs: Microsoft Windows (Operating System), Microsoft Office Applications, Word (Word Processing), Excel (Spreadsheets), and Outlook (Email)
• REQUIRED - COMPUTER & APPLICATION SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE: Candidates that have experience with TWM Suites
• EXPERIENCE: Candidates with prior Dry or Refrigerated dispatch experience is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
