Air Quality Express is a growing mold remediation and indoor air quality company in Houston. We're hiring a full-time Service Coordinator to handle inbound customer calls, book appointments, and run the daily dispatch board for our technicians. This is the person who keeps the schedule full and the day running smoothly.
The role is mostly intake and scheduling. When a homeowner calls about mold or air quality concerns, you're the first voice they hear. You'll listen to what's going on, explain what we do and how we'd approach their situation, answer their questions, and get them on the calendar. From there, you'll coordinate which technician goes where, adjust the board in real time as jobs run long or new leads come in, and keep customers informed along the way. The techs handle the on-site work. Your job is to keep them busy with the right jobs and keep our customers feeling taken care of from the first call through completion.
What you'll be doing
You'll answer inbound calls and explain our services with confidence so customers trust us enough to book. You'll manage the daily schedule across our technician team, adjusting in real time when things shift. You'll handle customer questions and resolve issues as they come up, and you'll keep clean records in our CRM so nothing falls through the cracks. As the role settles in, you'll also help spot patterns we can improve, like which lead sources convert best, where we're losing time, and what's slowing the team down.
What we're looking for
Prior experience in a dispatch or scheduling role for a home services, field services, or trades business is required. We want someone who has actually run a board before and is comfortable on the phone with customers. You should be able to explain a service offering clearly enough that people trust you and book the job. This is not high-pressure sales, but it does require confidence and warmth on the phone, because most of our customers are calling because something in their home is making them anxious.
High common sense matters more to us than any specific credential. You need to be able to make a good call quickly with incomplete information and adjust when reality shifts. You should be organized enough to juggle multiple priorities without dropping things, and steady enough to keep a positive tone with both customers and technicians even on hard days. Familiarity with Housecall Pro or a comparable field service CRM is a strong plus.
Bilingual Spanish is strongly preferred and pays a premium. A meaningful share of our customer base speaks Spanish, and the ability to handle those calls directly is genuinely valuable to us.
Compensation
Base pay $18 to $20 per hour depending on experience, plus a monthly performance bonus tied to booked appointments and job conversion. Strong performers typically earn an additional $200 to $400 per month on top of base. Bilingual Spanish adds $1 to $2 per hour. Full-time, Monday through Friday with occasional flexibility needed when the schedule demands it.
