Looking for Dispatchers to Join our Team at our York, PA and Manheim, PA depots!

Job Overview:

We are a school transportation company that focuses on serving students with special needs. You will receive requests, transmit messages, and track vehicles. You will assist Management in administrative tasks including but not limited to routing, billing, filing, scheduling, and more. The ideal candidate must be primarily an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in emergency situations. You must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action. Critical-thinking and problem-solving are must-have skills for this role! This position will be responsible for ensuring that all of our students get to their destinations safely and on time, and that drivers are clearly communicated to.

Daily Dispatch Tasks:

• Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and record significant information. Expected to prioritize and problem solve in a timely and current manner.
• The ability and flexibility to be a back-up driver as needed is required.
• Monitor the route and status of vans and communicate to schools and families on a daily basis.
• Communicate any changes and/or new runs to drivers/aides/guardians with any change/new run given no matter how small the change may be.
• Make welcome calls for new students, as well as manage frequent check ins with all clients to ensure satisfaction.
• Alert management of daily call offs and/or no shows, late employees, etc.
• Ensure all runs are covered on a shift-to-shift basis.

• Pass FBI Background Check and Child Abuse Clearances.
• Follow the guidelines and policies as outlined in the handbook.
• Possess a positive attitude and be respectful of all coworkers.
• Adhere to your hours as scheduled, including team-effort on break(s) and lunch.
• Proper use of company equipment.
• Refrain from usage of personal cell phones and devices while on the clock.
• Professional/business casual work attire that you are able to drive in if needed.
