Job Summary
We are seeking a Dispatcher in the Intermodal Trucking Industry to join our team! With a strong presence in the container freight market and rail-connected terminals, we're expanding our Houston TX team and hiring a Dispatcher to support our growing team. Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch drivers for import, export, rail, and local container movements.
• Monitor daily driver activity and ensure timely pickups and deliveries
• Communicate load assignments, appointment times, and operational updates to drivers.
• Track container status, terminal activity, rail availability, and customer deadlines.
• Proactively resolve service issues, delays, and scheduling conflicts to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and update transportation management systems.
• Coordinate with customers, steamship lines, rail providers, terminals, and internal department to ensure efficient operations.
• Maximize driver productivity and equipment utilization while maintaining compliance with company policies.
• Support the operations team in maintaining high customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve operational challenges and customer concerns effectively.
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette while communicating with customers.
• Any additional duties requested by management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Intermodal Dispatch experience required.
• Strong understanding of port, rail, container, and drayage operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (1 year minimum required)
• Strong English communication skills; Bilingual is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage a fast-paced workload.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Houston, TX
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Ability to thrive under deadlines, drive results, multi-task, and work with a sense of urgency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Transportation management systems (TMS)
